Sherif Tantawy has more than 25 years of experience in Finance, Business Development and General Management.
He joined Egyptian Steel group in April 2013 as Group CFO where he played a major role in the setup, development, financing, and operation of the group factories as well as the overall institutional framework of the company.
In April 2020, Sherif Tantawy assumed the position of General Manager at Egyptian Steel Group, a role he held until early 2022. Subsequently, he transitioned to EIIG, where he assumed the role of CEO of the Group. In this capacity, he spearheaded the evaluation and selection of diverse investment prospects, culminating in the successful implementation of the recently initiated “MAFI” project.
Prior to joining Egyptian Steel, he held several positions in Orascom Construction Industries over the course of 10 years, including being the CFO for the construction group and Business Development director leading various industrial investment initiatives worldwide.
Before then, he also worked for a financial advisory firm through which he participated in various fields of industries.
During his career, he participated in several landmark transactions including acquisitions, corporate restructuring, bond offerings, financing and dealt with various local and international stakeholders.
